Ivana completed her PhD studies at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. She works at the Institute for Technology of Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials. Her research focuses on the development, optimization, and validation of analytical protocols for the isolation and characterization of microplastics from complex soil matrices within the field of environmental chemistry. Her work addresses contaminant dynamics in soil–plant systems, with a particular emphasis on microplastics–heavy metal interactions, bioavailability, and environmental risk assessment. She is involved in the evaluation of contaminant mobility and exposure pathways in complex environmental matrices.
