Dr. Jie Yang is a Distinguished Research Fellow and Ph.D. supervisor at Tongji University, and a recipient of the Shanghai Overseas High-Level Talent Program. She received her Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2019, followed by postdoctoral research at the National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on interface engineering and microstructure design of two-dimensional (2D) materials, aiming to develop bio-inspired and neuromorphic integrated devices for intelligent sensing and flexible electronics, thereby advancing innovative applications in human–machine interaction, intelligent robotics, and advanced sensing technologies. Her main research interests include: (1) Infrared optoelectronic synapses and neuromorphic sensing devices: Targeting in-sensor computing for neuromorphic perception, she develops 2D material–based devices that integrate infrared detection and synaptic plasticity within a single device, enabling in-sensor computing for applications such as dynamic motion tracking and image recognition. (2) Bio-inspired multimodal sensing and flexible electronic devices: She constructs flexible microstructures based on 2D materials to achieve simultaneous perception and fusion of multiple stimuli, such as tactile and non-contact proximity signals, for applications in robotic electronic skins and human–machine interactive sensing systems.
