Professor (Associate) Mike Climstein (PhD, FASMF, FACSM, FAAESS, AEP) is the director of the Aquatic Based Research Unit at Southern Cross University and is an adjunct professor at the Exercise Health and Performance Faculty Research Group at the University of Sydney. To date, Mike has 162 peer-reviewed publications, 14 book chapters and over 100 national/ International conference presentations. He has been awarded 38 grants (internal and external funding) totalling in excess of $7.8 million (AUD) for research. His academic and clinical accomplishments have been peer-recognized, having received a Fellowship from Sports Medicine Australia (FASMF), the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM) and Exercise and Sports Science Australia (FAAESS). Additionally, Mike has received a number of awards for his research efforts. He is an editorial board member of PeerJ and a reviewer for a number of exercise sports science and clinical journals.
