Brian Nachipo is a public health communications specialist with a masters degree in Media and Society Studies. He has a wealth of experience working in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health, HIV and AIDS. His focus areas have been in coordination of demand generation efforts, innovations in public health communication, message design and development, training in advocacy and events management in Zimbabwe. Brian has led the process of development of Zimbabwe’s first ever Comprehensive National HIV Communications Strategy, which is a guiding framework for implementing integrated HIV communications. It has provided the nation a unique opportunity for HIV prevention, care and treatment communications efforts to move from being vertical to a client-centered, life-stage approach. Brian works for Population Services International and is seconded to the Ministry of Health and Child Care in the AIDS and TB Unit in Zimbabwe as the National Advocacy and Communications Officer for HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment programs. He coordinates all the communications efforts by the Ministry of Health and the various partners supporting the cause to end AIDS by 2030 in Zimbabwe.
