The prevailing concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) and q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFSs) have numerous applications in various fields from real life. Unfortunately, these theories have their own limitations related to the membership and non-membership grades. To eradicate these restrictions, we introduce the novel concept of linear Diophantine fuzzy set (LDFS) with the addition of reference parameters. This idea removes the restrictions of existing methodologies and the decision maker (DM) can freely choose the grades without any limitations. This structure also categorizes the problem by changing the physical sense of reference parameters. We present some fundamental operations on linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (LDFSs). We present geometrical interpretation for different operations of LDFSs. We also introduce the novel concepts of linear Diophantine fuzzy topological space (LDFTS) and linear Diophantine fuzzy weighted geometric aggregation (LDFWGA) operator. We discuss several properties of LDFTS with the help of examples. We introduce score functions and accuracy functions with different orders for the comparison of linear Diophantine fuzzy numbers (LDFNs). We propose two algorithms for solving multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem accompanied by an interesting application employing LDFTSs and LDFWGA operator.
A q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS), an extension of the Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) and intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS), is very helpful in representing vague information that occurs in real-world circumstances. The intention of this article is to introduce several aggregation operators in the framework of q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers (q-ROFNs). The key feature of q-ROFNs is to deal with the situation when the sum of the qth powers of membership and non-membership grades of each alternative in the universe is less than one. The Einstein operators with their operational laws have excellent flexibility. Due to the flexible nature of these Einstein operational laws, we introduce the q-rung orthopair fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging (q-ROFEWA) operator, q-rung orthopair fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging (q-ROFEOWA) operator, q-rung orthopair fuzzy Einstein weighted geometric (q-ROFEWG) operator, and q-rung orthopair fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted geometric (q-ROFEOWG) operator. We discuss certain properties of these operators, inclusive of their ability that the aggregated value of a set of q-ROFNs is a unique q-ROFN. By utilizing the proposed Einstein operators, this article describes a robust multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) technique for solving real-world problems. Finally, a numerical example related to integrated energy modeling and sustainable energy planning is presented to justify the validity and feasibility of the proposed technique.
The concept of linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (LDFSs) is a new approach for modeling uncertainties in decision analysis. Due to the addition of reference or control parameters with membership and non-membership grades, LDFS is more flexible and reliable than existing concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs), and q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFSs). In this paper, the notions of linear Diophantine fuzzy soft rough sets (LDFSRSs) and soft rough linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (SRLDFSs) are proposed as new hybrid models of soft sets, rough sets, and LDFS. The suggested models of LDFSRSs and SRLDFSs are more flexible to discuss fuzziness and roughness in terms of upper and lower approximation operators. Certain operations on LDFSRSs and SRLDFSs have been established to discuss robust multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) for the selection of sustainable material handling equipment. For these objectives, some algorithms are developed for the ranking of feasible alternatives and deriving an optimal decision. Meanwhile, the ideas of the upper reduct, lower reduct, and core set are defined as key factors in the proposed MCDM technique. An application of MCDM is illustrated by a numerical example, and the final ranking in the selection of sustainable material handling equipment is computed by the proposed algorithms. Finally, a comparison analysis is given to justify the feasibility, reliability, and superiority of the proposed models.
The linear Diophantine fuzzy set (LDFS) has been proved to be an efficient tool in expressing decision maker (DM) evaluation values in multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) procedure. To more effectively represent DMs’ evaluation information in complicated MCDM process, this paper proposes a MCDM method based on proposed novel aggregation operators (AOs) under linear Diophantine fuzzy set (LDFS). A q -Rung orthopair fuzzy set ( q -ROFS), Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS), and intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) are rudimentary concepts in computational intelligence, which have diverse applications in modeling uncertainty and MCDM. Unfortunately, these theories have their own limitations related to the membership and nonmembership grades. The linear Diophantine fuzzy set (LDFS) is a new approach towards uncertainty which has the ability to relax the strict constraints of IFS, PFS, and q –ROFS by considering reference/control parameters. LDFS provides an appropriate way to the decision experts (DEs) in order to deal with vague and uncertain information in a comprehensive way. Under these environments, we introduce several AOs named as linear Diophantine fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging (LDFEWA) operator, linear Diophantine fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging (LDFEOWA) operator, linear Diophantine fuzzy Einstein weighted geometric (LDFEWG) operator, and linear Diophantine fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted geometric (LDFEOWG) operator. We investigate certain characteristics and operational laws with some illustrations. Ultimately, an innovative approach for MCDM under the linear Diophantine fuzzy information is examined by implementing suggested aggregation operators. A useful example related to a country’s national health administration (NHA) to create a fully developed postacute care (PAC) model network for the health recovery of patients suffering from cerebrovascular diseases (CVDs) is exhibited to specify the practicability and efficacy of the intended approach.

The existing concepts of picture fuzzy sets (PFS), spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs), T-spherical fuzzy sets (T-SFSs) and neutrosophic sets (NSs) have numerous applications in decision-making problems, but they have various strict limitations for their satisfaction, dissatisfaction, abstain or refusal grades. To relax these strict constraints, we introduce the concept of spherical linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (SLDFSs) with the inclusion of reference or control parameters. A SLDFS with parameterizations process is very helpful for modeling uncertainties in the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) process. SLDFSs can classify a physical system with the help of reference parameters. We discuss various real-life applications of SLDFSs towards digital image processing, network systems, vote casting, electrical engineering, medication, and selection of optimal choice. We show some drawbacks of operations of picture fuzzy sets and their corresponding aggregation operators. Some new operations on picture fuzzy sets are also introduced. Some fundamental operations on SLDFSs and different types of score functions of spherical linear Diophantine fuzzy numbers (SLDFNs) are proposed. New aggregation operators named spherical linear Diophantine fuzzy weighted geometric aggregation (SLDFWGA) and spherical linear Diophantine fuzzy weighted average aggregation (SLDFWAA) operators are developed for a robust MCDM approach. An application of the proposed methodology with SLDF information is illustrated. The comparison analysis of the final ranking is also given to demonstrate the validity, feasibility, and efficiency of the proposed MCDM approach.
