Prof. Dr. Tao Su obtained a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Ecology from the Center for Biological Studies (COS) at Heidelberg University, Germany in March 2014. In April 2014, he did postdoctoral research in the Department of Plant Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, University of Alberta, Canada. From October 2016 to June 2023, he joined the Department of Plant Sciences at the College of Biology and Environment in Nanjing Forestry University as a high-level overseas talent. In July 2024, he joined the Plant Teaching and Research Group in the Department of Plant Sciences, School of Life Sciences. Currently, he is an associate professor, graduate supervisor, and director of the Department of Plant Sciences, College of Life and Sciences at Nanjing Forestry University. He serves as guest editor and special reviewer for journals such as Horticulture Research, Industrial Crop and Products, and Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. He is currently leading a sub-project of the National Science and Technology Ministry’s major agricultural biobreeding project–Science and Technology Innovation 2030, the Natural Science Research Fund for High-level and Highly Educated Returned Overseas Talents of Nanjing Forestry University, and is a major participant in the open project of the National Key Laboratory of Forest Genetics and Breeding.
