İsmet Kaya is a Professor at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey. Professor Kaya’s research interests have been focused on new polymeric materials for advanced technologies for the past 20 years and on the molecular design and synthesis and characterization of oligophenols/polymers, electrical conductivity, chemical kinetic, chemical kinetic of thermal degradation, cure of epoxy resins, and gas-separating ability. He was born in Sivas-Gürün province, Turkey, in 1965. He was matriculated in 1984 by Ataturk University at Erzurum and received his B.Sc. degree (1988) and his M.Sc. (1991) by Inonu University at Malatya and Ph.D. (1995) by Fırat University at Elazıg in Thermodynamic Properties of Alkyl Methacrylates under the direction of Professor Dr. Eyup Ozdemir. He was Assistant Professor in 1999, Associate Professor in 2002, and Professor since 2007 at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Sciences and Arts, Department of Chemistry. Prof. Kaya received “Plaque” by Rectorate Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey, in 2002. Her main research areas are polymeric materials for advanced technologies for the past 30 years and on the molecular design and synthesis and characterization of oligo-polyphenols/polymers, electrical conductivity, chemical kinetic, chemical kinetic of thermal degradation, cure of epoxy resins, and gas-separating ability. He has over 300 papers published in international journals and one book chapter.
