Jingkai Xie is a Ph.D. trained at Zhejiang University. He is a remote sensing scientist with experience in hydrology, machine learning, and environmental impact assessment. His research interests focus on fundamentally understanding how climate change, variability, and human interventions affect hydrological cycles through the joint use of multiple remote sensing satellites (e.g., GRACE, MODIS, and SWOT). After obtaining his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2020, Jingkai continued his research on remote sensing in the hydrological cycle at Zhejiang University (June 2020 to September 2022) and the National University of Singapore (October 2022 to October 2024) as a postdoctoral researcher. He has now successfully joined Hohai University as an associate professor. During the past five years, Jingkai has published over 23 papers in various journals. In addition, he is leading a Young Scientists Fund project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
