Jonas Cicenas completed his PhD in biochemistry at the University of Basel, Switzerland in 2004. From 2011 to 2015, he worked at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, CALIPHO group as a biocurator/kinase expert. In 2017-2018, he worked at Max F. Perutz Laboratories at the University of Vienna in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Genetics as a data scientist. Since 2018, he has worked at the Proteomics Centre of the Institute of Biochemistry at Vilnius University Life Sciences Centre as a senior scientist and at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in the Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering as an assistant professor.
