João Marôco, Ph.D. (Washington State University, USA), is a Full Professor at Lusófona University, Portugal. His research focuses on statistics, psychometrics, educational measurement, and quantitative methods, with particular interests in scale development, structural equation modeling, and cross-cultural validation of psychological and educational instruments. He has served as a consultant on educational assessment and evaluation projects and was a board member of IAVE, I.P., contributing to large-scale educational studies, including PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, and ICILS. He is the author of four books and more than 450 peer-reviewed publications and is ranked among the top 2% of the most cited scientists worldwide according to the Stanford/Elsevier global ranking.
