Jorge Iván Romero Gelvez holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is the Director of the Academic Area of Industries and Digital Technologies at Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. His work spans teaching, research, and consulting in artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, and simulation. He has participated in initiatives related to engineering education, the development of machine learning models for industrial applications, university campus planning, and digital transformation. His current interests include curriculum development in artificial intelligence and process optimization in industry, with an emphasis on sustainability and emerging technologies.
