I am a Research Associate at the University of Belgrade, Institute for Multidisciplinary Research (IMSI) with a PhD in biological sciences. My research focus is on the assessment of surface water quality by using aquatic organisms as bioindicators of environmental exposure. In addition to analyzing basic physicochemical and microbiological parameters of water quality, I study the response of biomarkers at different levels of biological organization, mainly in fish and mussels. During my career, I have gained knowledge and skills in the fields of microbiology, mutagenicity, toxicology, genetic toxicology, and histopathology.
