Joaquín Torres-Sospedra is postdoctoral fellow at the Universidade do Minho, linked to the H2020-MSCA-IF "ORIENTATE". Until 2021, he was the CEO of UBIK Geospatial Solutions and research collaborator at the Institute of New Imaging Technologies at Universitat Jaume I (Spain). He obtained a PhD in 2011 on Ensembles of Neural Networks and Machine Learning from Universitat Jaume I. He has authored 150+ articles in international journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include indoor positioning solutions based on Wi-Fi and BLE, Machine Learning and Evaluation. Dr. Torres-Sospedra has been the chair of the smartphone-based track of IPIN Competition since 2015. He is also been the chair of the IPIN International Standards Committee since 2018.
