Dr. Dalius Jucius since 1999 carries out research work in the field of nanoimprint technologies of polymer materials. He has published more than 40 articles in scientific journals. His h-index is 8 (ISI Web of Knowledge). The results of his research work were used for development of photonic crystals, optically variable image elements for document protection against counterfeiting, planar polymer waveguides, polymer microlenses. While conducting FP6 project “3DNANOPRINT” activities, he applied CO2 laser radiation for nanoimprint lithography. He has also evaluated the dependencies of the change in optical properties from replication process technological parameters of holographic elements imprinted in polymers; applied hot embossing for polytetrafluoroethylene texture variations by changing surface hydrophobic properties; applied UV imprint technology for fabrication of angular positioning polymeric incremental scales and polymeric microlenses.
