Prof. Sung-Chul Jung is teaching biochemistry and medical genetics as a Professor of Biochemistry at the College of Medicine. His main research subjects are sphingolipid metabolism, lysosomal storage diseases, neurometabolic diseases, and molecular genetics. He is also interested in the development of cell and gene therapies for genetic diseases. He has attended and served several academic societies, including the Korean Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Korean Society of Inherited Metabolic Diseases, the Korean Society of Medical Genetics, the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, and the International Society of Cellular Therapy.
