I received a Ph.D. in Microbial and Biochemical Pharmacy from Shandong University in China under the supervision of Prof. Hongxiang Lou in 2018. After that, I worked as a postdoc associate from 2019 to 2022 at Prof. Sidney Hecht’s lab at Arizona State University and Prof. Quanyin Hu’s lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively. Then, in 2023, I joined the Ocean University of China as a principle investigator. My research area is related to medicinal chemistry based on natural product skeletons for drug candidate discovery in different diseases, including antiplatelet, antitumor, antifungal, and anti-ferroptosis. I have discovered several molecules that have proven effective in disease treatment and have the potential to be developed for clinical medicines. Additionally, my study also focuses on targeted delivery of small molecules, proteins, or antibodies using engineered cells or cell derivatives as vehicles for enhanced therapeutic efficacy in a variety of diseases, like infectious disease and cancer.
