KARL ANDERSSON received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, and his Ph.D. degree in Mobile Systems from the Luleå University of Technology, Luleå, Sweden, in 1993 and 2010, respectively. From 2011 to 2012, he pursued postdoctoral research at the Internet Real-time Laboratory at Columbia University, New York, USA, and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Tokyo, Japan. From 1994 to 2005, he was a Consultant at Capgemini Group, Stockholm, Sweden. He is now Chaired Professor of Cyber Security and Dean for Faculty of Science and Technology at Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden. His research interests include green and mobile computing, the Internet of Things, cloud technologies, and information security. He has been a senior member of IEEE since 2011.
