I am a bioinformatician at the NYU College of Dentistry, where I bridge molecular biology with computational analysis for clinically oriented research. My background includes master’s degrees in Microbiology and Biotechnology and several years of experience in human genomics and transcriptomics. My work focuses on building reproducible, containerized pipelines for EWAS, GWAS, bulk RNA seq, methylation capture sequencing, and microbiome studies. I use tools such as Singularity, Docker, Rocker, and Nextflow to create workflows that are transparent, shareable, and straightforward for collaborators to reuse. Scientifically, I am interested in how variation in molecular data relates to complex traits such as cancer, HIV, pain, and metabolic disease. I enjoy collaborating with wet lab and clinical teams, translating noisy real world data into results that can guide hypotheses and decision making. I am also exploring machine learning methods for bioinformatics, with an emphasis on approaches that remain interpretable and practical for routine analysis.
