Khalid Usman is a researcher with an interdisciplinary background in materials engineering, materials science, and chemistry. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced functional materials, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), porphyrinic materials, titanium-based coordination materials, and high-entropy alloys (HEAs). His doctoral research at Pusan National University, Republic of Korea, focuses on porphyrinic titanium-based MOFs and their optical, thermal, and electrochemical properties. His research combines experimental and computational approaches, including XRD, SEM, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, NMR, TGA/DSC, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Mott-Schottky analysis, and density functional theory (DFT). His broader research interests include porous and coordination materials, high-entropy alloys, electrochemistry, energy-related materials, thermal energy storage, photocatalysis, and computational materials chemistry. He is also interested in understanding structure-property relationships and developing advanced materials for engineering and energy applications. His background in materials and manufacturing engineering further supports his interest in connecting fundamental materials research with practical engineering applications.
