Dr. Kyong Joon Lee is an expert in medical image analysis, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. He currently leads Monitor Corporation as CEO while also holding a position as a Research Professor in the Department of Radiology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Dr. Lee earned both his Ph.D. (2013) and B.S. (2005) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Seoul National University. His extensive professional background includes engineering roles at Samsung Electronics and research internships at Microsoft in the United States and China. A prolific researcher, Dr. Lee has contributed to numerous high-impact publications. His recent work focuses on developing novel deep learning models for medical diagnostics. His findings on task-optimized latent diffusion models for rapid CT denoising and other advanced AI applications have been published in leading journals such as Computerized Medical Imaging and Graphics and Computers in Biology and Medicine. Dr. Lee is an active contributor to his field, serving as a technical and academic director for the Korean Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine and the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, respectively. His work has been recognized with awards from Samsung, including a Gold Award for his contributions to S-Fusion technology in 2015.
