Dr. Kok-Yong Chin is a senior lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He was awarded the Young Investigator Award at the 32nd Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology in 2018, the 5th Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies Meeting in 2017, and the 1st International Conference on Advances in Medical Sciences in 2015. He was also Malaysia’s representative at the 65th Lindau Nobel Laureates Conference in 2015. He currently serves as academic editor of the Journal of Tropical Life Sciences, associate editor of BMC Public Health and Frontiers in Endocrinology, and an editorial board member of Medicine & Health. He is listed by Elsevier as the top 2% most-cited scientist for the period 2021–2023. His research interests include the epidemiology of bone health, male ageing, bone metabolism, and the use of vitamin E in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
