Dr. Young-Kug Kim is currently an anesthesiologist and Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He has extensive clinical and academic experience in anesthesiology, with specialties in plastic surgery, urologic surgery, and organ transplantation. His primary research interests focus on perioperative medicine, particularly preoperative anesthetic risk assessment, intraoperative patient management, and postoperative outcome evaluation. Dr. Kim has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles in international journals. In addition to his clinical and research work, he serves as an editorial board member for several reputable journals, including BMC Anesthesiology, Pain Research and Management, Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Disease Markers, Signa Vitae, PLOS ONE, and Medicine, reflecting his active contribution to the advancement of perioperative medicine.
