MENG CHUN LAM gained his Bachelor of Information Technology with Honors (Industrial Computing) in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Industrial Computing in 2014. Both degrees were completed at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was a visiting researcher at HIT Lab, New Zealand, in a study on the multimodal interface in 2014. He joined the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, UKM, as a senior lecturer in 2015. He teaches mobile programming courses that focus on the Android platform. His areas of interest and research are Human–Computer Interaction, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mobile applications. He is a member of the Mixed Reality and Pervasive Computing Lab (MyXLab) at UKM, a research lab devoted to studying augmented reality and mobile application technology. He won his first award in publication in 2011, the IEEE Gold Malaysia Best Paper Award at the International Visual Informatics Conference; he won the best paper award and outstanding paper awards, respectively, at the International Conference on Applied Science and Technology 2017 and 2018.
