The application of moth-eye nanostructured polymer film on the flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate is an effective way to improve its antireflection (AR) performance. However, many factors affect the AR properties of the moth-eye structure in the actual manufacturing process. Moreover, the antireflection research based on PET substrate has been relatively lacking compared with the silicon substrate. In this paper, we simulate and analyze the AR performance of the moth-eye nanostructured polymer film on PET substrate by using the finite-difference time-domain method within the wavelength range of 400–1100 nm. Simulation results show that the parabola-shaped moth-eye structure (PSMS) can suppress the Fresnel reflection significantly. Moreover, the height and filling ratios are the dominant factors that affect the AR performance of PSMS. Additionally, the base diameter, residual layer thickness, and the refractive index of PSMS polymer film also affect the reflectivity of PET slightly. As a result, an optimal PSMS with base diameter of 400 nm, height of 300 nm, and the hexagonal close-packed arrangement is appropriate, and the solar-weighted reflectivity of PET can be suppressed to 0.21%, which shows a prominent advantage over the bare PET (≈6%). Therefore, this research has promising potential for improving the optical performance of optoelectronic devices by using nanostructured polymer materials.

The wafer pre-aligner is a crucial component in the lithography process to correct the wafer center and notch orientation. To improve the precision and the efficiency of pre-alignment, a new method to calibrate the center and the orientation of a wafer based on the weighted Fourier series fitting of circles (WFC) method and the least squares fitting of circles (LSC) method, respectively, is proposed. The WFC method effectively suppressed the influence of the outliers and had high stability compared with the LSC method when fitted to the center of the circle. While the weight matrix degenerated to the identity matrix, the WFC method degenerated into the Fourier series fitting of circles (FC) method. The fitting efficiency of the FC method is 28% higher than that of the LSC method, and the fitting accuracy of the center of the FC method is the same as that of the LSC method. In addition, the WFC method and the FC method perform better than the LSC method in radius fitting. The pre-alignment simulation results showed that the absolute position accuracy of the wafer was ±2 µm, the absolute direction accuracy was 0.01°, and the total calculation time was less than 3.3 s in our platform.

Conventional iterative phase retrieval suffers from an inherent phase ambiguity due to limited measurement intensity. Multimodal amplitude modulation introduces physical constraints to tackle the underdetermination challenge. However, the time overhead caused by mask switching slows down the imaging speed. To increase imaging speed, we report an accelerated coded phase retrieval method by optimizing modulation masks. Compared to existing methods that require at least four patterns as inputs, the proposed method requires only three mask modulations to robustly reconstruct complex objects. The transparent pixels of the two masks partially overlap, constituting a strong constraint on the objective function. An additional random mask increases the difference between diffraction intensity patterns and ensures that the algorithm converges. The proposed method of efficient modulation using pure amplitude elements may open the door to short-wavelength high-speed complex amplitude imaging. Numerical simulations and proof-of-principle experiments have verified the feasibility of this method.

By inserting a modulator in the imaging system and scanning in different positions, ptychographic modulation imaging can achieve higher quality reconstruction for smooth or weakly scattered objects compared to conventional ptychography imaging. However, its imaging resolution is still limited by the pixel size of the detector. In this paper, divergent illumination is introduced to enhance imaging resolution. Compared with the original planar illumination scheme, our proposed method can achieve two-fold resolution improvement with only the use of thirty diffraction patterns for ten iterations. The quantitative phase imaging capability of the proposed method is also demonstrated by testing the binary phase sample. In the reconstruction, the divergent illumination geometry is converted to planar illumination model. The equivalent sampling intervals and diffraction distances of the modulator, object, and detector planes are analyzed in detail. In addition, a new high-accuracy distance calibration method for point light sources is proposed and verified in experiments.
