Cancer cells are frequently exposed to intratumoral stresses including nutrient and oxygen deprivation due to poorly-formed vasculature in solid tumors. My goal is to investigate the molecular mechanisms whereby cancer cells reprogram their metabolism to survive within nutrient-limited environments, in particular liver cancer.
