Dr. Dong Li is a Research Scientist at the Precision Agriculture Lab, Technical University of Munich (TUM). He earned a PhD in Agricultural Informatics (2020) and an MAE in Crop Science (2016) from Nanjing Agricultural University, and a BSc in Remote Sensing (2014) from Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology. His work focuses on retrieving vegetation structural traits (e.g., LAI) and biochemical traits (chlorophyll, nitrogen, water) from canopy reflectance using physical, empirical, and hybrid models, with applications in precision agriculture and the carbon cycle. Research keywords: Vegetation remote sensing Canopy reflectance modeling Leaf area index (LAI) Canopy chlorophyll content (CCC) Nitrogen estimation Hybrid physical–machine learning models Precision agriculture Sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF)
