I am Luiz Sapucci, I am a researcher in the Group on Data Assimilation Development of the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies from INPE (Brazilian Institute for Space Research). My undergraduate is in Math, and I hold an M. Sc. and Ph. D degree in Cartographic Science from São Paulo State University in Presidente Prudente, Brazil. I have worked extensively with GPS receivers (spatial-based and ground-based) for meteorological purposes, particularly in the data assimilation of this data into the numerical weather prediction model. I am the leader of the CNPq research group entitled ''Data assimilation in atmospheric, land surface and ocean models'', more information available at http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/3104557703143160. I am representing the INPE and INMET in the group dedicated to Global Operational Data Exchange for Numerical Weather Prediction (GODEX-NWP), and I was a member of the WMO Expert Team on Space Systems and Utilization (ET-SSU) in the period 2020-2023. In my scientific production, the most frequent terms are: GPS-IWV; GNSS radio occultation; Data assimilation; adjustment of observation; Methods of data assimilation; Tropospheric modeling; Evaluation of NWP models; Precipitation forecast evaluation; GPSmet; ZTD; GNSS.
