Mahmut Çavur received a BSc in Mining Engineering from Middle East Technical University(METU) in 2009 in Ankara, Turkey. He received an MSc in Management Information Systems from Boğaziçi University in 2012 in İstanbul, Turkey. He received his Ph.D. in Geodetic and Geographic Information Technology from METU in 2016 in Ankara, Turkey. He received an MBA at Hasan Kalyoncu University in 2017 in Gaziantep, Turkey. He is a faculty member at Kadir Has University in the Management Information System Department. His research interests include wireless sensors, communication networks, image processing, geospatial data analysis, big data, and remote sensing to provide technology and service for the mining industry. He is developing machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence using geographic information systems, remote sensing data, tools, and techniques for geothermal exploration at the Colorado School of Mines.
