Prof. (Dr.) Yashpal Singh Malik is serving as the Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, Punjab. Previously, he served as an ICAR-National Fellow at the ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, India. He has rich experience in the fields of virology and biotechnology. His major research achievements include contributions in viral disease epidemiology, virus-host interactions, microbial biodiversity, and the characterization and diagnosis of animal pathogens. He has worked on rotaviruses, astroviruses, picobirnaviruses, picornaviruses, coronaviruses, and many other zoonotic viruses.
