Mara Bruzzi graduated in Physics from the University of Milano, Italy, and obtained her PhD in Energy Engineering from the University of Florence, Italy. She is currently a professor of experimental physics at the University of Florence, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Italy. Her scientific research focuses primarily on the study of semiconductor films, including silicon, diamond, carbon-related materials, oxides, and inorganic perovskite materials, with applications ranging from real-time clinical radiotherapy dosimeters to particle detectors and humidity/gas sensors. Her work also involves the electrical characterization of thin films for defect analysis and material functionalization.
