Marco Zago has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Trento (Italy) since 2025. He earned his PhD (2020) in Materials, Mechatronics, and Systems Engineering and his MS (2016) in Materials Engineering from the same institution. His research focuses on the development of design methods for additive manufacturing technologies, particularly for controlling the geometrical accuracy and precision of printed parts. In addition, his research interests include design for near-net-shape products in sinter-based processes, with particular attention to the anisotropy of dimensional changes and shape distortion occurring during sintering. Finally, his interests include the topological design and characterization of metamaterials.
