Marta Royo is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction at Universitat Jaume I (Spain). She received her PhD in Industrial Technologies and Materials from Universitat Jaume I. Her research focuses on creativity in conceptual product design, design methodologies, sustainable design, circular economy strategies, and the application of artificial intelligence to support design ideation and decision-making. She has participated in several national research projects and has published in leading journals in the fields of engineering design, sustainability, and design research. Her work explores methods and tools to enhance creativity, product adaptability, upgradability, and lifetime extension during the early stages of product development. In addition to her research, she teaches courses in product design, innovation, and engineering design, and supervises undergraduate, master's, and doctoral research projects.
