I am a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies at The Open University (UK), where I lead the Masters in Childhood and Youth Studies. My research has focused mainly on issues relating to gender and care and has included studies of fathers, men working in childcare, and young masculinities. Before joining the OU I worked in community education projects with socially disadvantaged groups and communities.
