Mauro Martínez is an agronomist and researcher specializing in plant pathology, with a particular focus on the Fusarium pathosystem in cereal crops. His work integrates disease epidemiology, climate change scenarios, and sustainable crop production. He is currently investigating how current and projected climate conditions affect Fusarium infections, pathogenicity, and mycotoxin risks, with an emphasis on developing climate-resilient strategies for disease management. In parallel, he explores biotechnological solutions such as bio-based seed treatments and circular economy approaches in agricultural systems. He has authored more than 35 scientific publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals within the fields of plant pathology, agronomy, and crop protection.
