Dr. Mehdi Shakibaei is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Anatomy, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. He earned his doctorate at the Free University of Berlin, Germany, and completed his first postdoctoral degree at the Free University of Berlin, Germany, and his second one at New York University, USA. He earned his Habilitation from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, where he was employed as a scientist until 2004. His research interests include inflammation, musculoskeletal tissue engineering, chemosensitization of cancer by natural products, the role of inflammatory pathways in cancer, inhibition by plant-derived compounds, and identifying biomarkers for cancer management.
