Michaela was born in Poprad, Slovakia. She is a second year Ph.D. student in the Genetics, at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Science. In her dissertation, she focuses on genetic and biological diversity of Streptomyces isolates from extreme environment and their applicability biotechnology. In 2019, she completed a master's degree in genetics and molecular cytology at the same university. She completed Complementary pedagogical study in Ružomberok for improvement of teaching skills.
