PhD Dsc Michał Tomaszewski was professionally affiliated with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Computer Science at Opole University of Technology from 1998 to 2025, where he held, among others, the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Science. He is currently employed at the Faculty of Computer Science at Opole University of Technology as the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, he serves as the coordinator of the Doctoral School of Opole University of Technology in the discipline of technical computer science and telecommunications. Michał Tomaszewski's scientific interests focus on the application of machine learning algorithms to the analysis of multimodal data, the implementation of ensemble methods and deep neural networks for time series analysis, as well as on issues related to computer vision, particularly object detection methods and the segmentation and classification of digital images recorded across various wavelength ranges. His research includes areas such as plant disease classification, emotion and emotional disorder classification, psychological diagnostics and therapy support, the use of natural language processing methods in medical diagnostics, and the support of training processes for athletes
