Michele Albano is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Computer Science of Aalborg University, Denmark. His research is focused on distributed systems and embedded systems, in particular for the application areas of industrial informatics and smart grids.
Michele received his BSc degree in Physics in 2003, and his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science in 2004, 2006 and 2010 respectively, all of them from the University of Pisa, Italy. He was visiting researcher at Universidad de Malaga in 2007; a visiting scholar at University of New York at Stony Brook in 2009; a postdoctoral researcher at Instituto of Telecomunicações in Aveiro (Portugal) from 2010 to 2012; a Research Associate for the CISTER Research Unit of the Polytechnic of Porto (Portugal) from 2012 to 2019; an Adjunct Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave (Portugal) from 2016 to 2019. He has been involved in more than 10 European research projects.
Michele is a Founding Member of the Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC); of the OpenAPI-generator initiative (https://openapi-generator.tech/). His works have been published in more than 70 international conferences and journals; is Associate Editor for the International Journal of Cyber Forensics and Advanced Threat Investigations; is Editor in Chief for the Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science. Michele is a Senior Member of IEEE.
