Md Monjurul Karim is an Assistant Professor at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen, China. His research focuses on agentic and decentralized AI, blockchain and Web3 systems, Internet of Things, distributed systems, and cloud-edge computing. He is particularly interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of trustworthy intelligent systems that enable autonomous AI agents to coordinate, collaborate, and operate securely across decentralized and resource-constrained environments. His current work explores AI agent economies, AI governance, blockchain-enabled coordination, decentralized infrastructures, edge intelligence, and trustworthy distributed intelligence. By combining large language models, autonomous agents, blockchain, and edge computing, his research aims to support scalable, secure, privacy-preserving, and verifiable digital ecosystems. He is also interested in how agentic AI can reshape Web3, decentralized finance, IoT, and next-generation intelligent services through transparent decision-making, reliable execution, and accountable collaboration among human users, AI agents, and decentralized platforms.
