Biography

I am Manohar Kodavati, Ph.D., an Instructor and neuroscience researcher at Houston Methodist Research Institute. I earned my doctoral degree in Life Sciences and have dedicated my career to investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. My research focuses on the development and application of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neuronal models to study disease pathology and identify potential therapeutic targets. I have extensive experience in molecular and cellular neuroscience, stem cell biology, genome instability, gene expression analysis, and translational neuroscience research. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented my work at national and international conferences. I am actively involved in collaborative biomedical research and participate in professional scientific organizations dedicated to neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease research. My work has been recognized through competitive research funding, scientific presentations, and contributions to advancing our understanding of neurological disorders.
