Melissande Machefer s a double degree M.Sc. in Earth and Space Observation and Mathematical Modelling from Technical University of Denmark with Engineering Management from Ecole Centrale de Lille (France). Her work includes pansharpening of aerial images using deep learning methods with Thales Alenia Space in 2017, as well as automatic semantic segmentation of urban buildings of images from Worldview 2 and 3 with DHI Gras in 2018. She contributed to several algorithms around canopy coverage, plant counting, soil type and weed detection from UAV imagery as a Scientist for Hummingbird Technologies Limited. She joined IsardSAT-Lobelia in 2019 and is now in charge of scientific data science algorithms development and management for environmental applications based on Earth Observation data.
