Dr. Mohamed Azzouzi received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed Premier University, Oujda, Morocco, specializing in Organic Chemistry, Health and Environment. He previously obtained a Master’s degree in Fundamental Chemistry (valedictorian) from Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Tetouan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (valedictorian) from Mohammed Premier University.
Dr. Mohamed Azzouzi is currently an Associate Professor at the Superior School of Technology of Khenifra (EST-Khenifra), University of Sultan Moulay Slimane, Morocco. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and functionalization of nitrogen-containing heterocycles (imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine, imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine, imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole), with applications in medicinal chemistry. He integrates experimental organic synthesis with advanced spectroscopic characterization and computational approaches.
He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in international journals, including RSC Advances, ACS Omega, Bioorganic Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Structure, and Applied Organometallic Chemistry. His work explores anticancer, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anticorrosion activities of novel heterocyclic systems. He is actively involved in teaching, academic supervision, and research project coordination.
