Biography

I am an Associate Professor of Chemistry at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), Bangladesh, with a PhD in Materials Chemistry from Tohoku University, Japan. My academic career spans research and teaching in Bangladesh, Japan, and Malaysia, including research and academic positions at Tohoku University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. My research interests focus on green synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, particularly metal oxide nanoparticles and nanocomposites, using renewable and bio-waste resources. I am interested in their applications in environmental remediation, photocatalysis, antimicrobial and biomedical technologies, energy, electronics, and sustainable materials. I also work on thin films, surface modification, hybrid polymers, and nanocomposites. I have been involved in externally funded research projects, postgraduate and undergraduate supervision, scientific consultancy, and academic publishing. I have supervised postgraduate students and more than 60 undergraduate students, and I contribute as a reviewer and editorial board member for international scientific journals. My professional mission is to advance sustainable nanotechnology through interdisciplinary research while contributing to high-quality science education, research mentorship, and the development of practical solutions to environmental and technological challenges.
