Manoëlla Sibat, Analytical chemistry research engineer at the laboratory of METabolites of microALGae (METALG, PHYTOX Unit) at Ifremer (Nantes, France). Education background: 2000: BTS Chimie (2 years after A level) at the Higher Technical School of Chemistry (E.T.S.C.O), Angers, France. 2002: BSc Honours in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, England. 2012: MSc in Chemistry, “Spectroscopic Analytical Methods,” at the University of Rennes, France. Since 2003, at Ifremer, I have developed, over the years, expertise in the chemodiversity of toxic and harmful microalgae. My main research interest is developing and implementing physico-chemical methods using low- and high-resolution mass spectrometry for the detection of toxins and other metabolites of interest from toxic and ichyotoxic microalgae and tentatively elucidating their structure.
