BS Marco studied Food Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brazil, and Biotechnology at the Université de Lorraine, France, and graduated in 2020. He then joined the research group of Prof. Marcelo Brocchi at the Biology Institute, Universidade Estadual de Campinas. He is about to receive his MD degree in 2022 at the same institution. Despite having a relatively short academic carrier, Marco has published five articles focusing on the screening of viral and bacterial proteins with potential antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative bacteria.
