Muhammad Abdullah was born in Mianwali, Pakistan. He received a B.S. degree in transportation engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Pakistan, in 2013, and an M.S. and Ph.D. degree from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He was also an Exchange Researcher at the Institute for Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering, Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, from September to October 2018. Since October 2019, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. His research interests include traffic signal design and optimization, road safety, and pedestrian behavior.
