My research focuses on the application of nanotechnology for energy and biomedical applications, particularly utilizing metal and carbon-based nanomaterials. I am deeply involved in exploring the potential of these materials in developing advanced sensors and devices.
Recently, I have made significant progress in identifying and developing an electrochemical-based biosensor, which has shown promising results for sensitive and selective detection. Previously, I successfully confirmed the efficacy of several Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) kits for detecting toxic metals, biomolecules, and for their application in LED technology.
Currently, my work is centered on the development of next-generation POCT kits aimed at detecting bacterial pathogens. This work leverages my previous findings and aims to incorporate advanced techniques such as Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) for rapid and accurate diagnostics.
In addition to my research, I actively contribute as an Assistant Professor at Gachon University, where I mentor graduate students and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects. My role as a Research Fellow further enhances my ability to drive innovation in nanotechnology and biosensor development.
