Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami holds an MSc from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and a PhD in Sustainable Gaseous Biofuel from University College Cork, Ireland. He completed a postdoc at the University of Toronto, Canada, focusing on alternative fuels and life cycle studies. He served as Head of the Solid Waste Management Unit at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, and is currently an Associate Professor at the Sustainable Development Study Centre, Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Nizami has published over 200 papers on renewable energy, waste-to-energy, anaerobic digestion, and circular economy. His work has over 18,000 citations, an H-index of 73, and a total impact factor exceeding 2000. He has delivered 50+ invited talks and serves as a Senior/Associate Editor for leading journals such as Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews and Energy & Environment. He is on editorial boards of Biofuel Research Journal and Sustainability. He consults for global organizations, including the European Commission, UNEP, and the World Bank.
