Oana RISTEA is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest. Scientific research is related to the study of the heavy-ion collisions at relativistic energies. PhD Thesis, „Predictions and experimental results obtained in Au-Au collisions at RHIC energies” presented a study related to the rapidity and centrality dependence of thermal freeze-out parameters of systems produced in Au-Au collisions at RHIC energies. Experimental data used for the analysis were collected with BRAHMS experiment and the results were obtained using the Blast-Wave model. The energy and rapidity dependence of the chemical freeze-out parameters for these collisions were studied, too. Teaching activity at graduate and master level related to courses and labs of Nuclear and Particle physics, Experimental relativistic nuclear physics, Detection methods in nuclear and particle physics.
