Dr. Omar Rodriguez-Abreo is a distinguished academic and researcher in mechatronics, dynamic systems, robotics, and artificial intelligence, with doctoral degrees in Mechatronics, Education, and Advanced Technology, and a postdoctoral fellowship in AI-based dynamic systems at UNAM-CFATA. He serves as a professor-researcher at Universidad Autonóma de Querétaro (UAQ), where he teaches and leads projects in control, physical modeling, applied AI, flexible manufacturing, and advanced robotics. His teaching emphasizes hands-on, interdisciplinary practice using tools such as Factory I/O, LabVIEW, CODESYS, MATLAB, Python, and embedded systems. He has become an emerging national reference in motor parameter identification, electromechanical modeling, hybrid physics-informed approaches, and deep learning for engineering. He is an SNII Level I researcher. His main research areas include dynamic system modeling and identification, grey-box and metaheuristic optimization, physics-informed neural networks, sim-to-real learning, AI applications in health and education, and cyber-physical systems for Industry 4.0/5.0. He has developed impactful projects involving experimental hardware, optoelectronics, low-cost sensing, and real-time control. His current work centers on applying AI to complex optimization and search problems.
